How exciting! An older lady in our neighborhood (with a lot large enough to legally keep poultry) started selling eggs from her mixed flock last summer. I told her I thought the eggs were pretty and she said, "They told me they'd lay different colored eggs but I only get these green ones." I think she was expecting red or orange or something!
My excitement over this little egg is pretty ridiculous but I seriously can't help it. It is so cool!
Maryann, it's perfectly egg shaped but pretty tiny.
Sara, you just gave me a fabulous excuse to try out a new cupcake recipe ;)
Fakey, your poor neighbor. Expecting to get a rainbow variety of eggs but ending up with green. Hilarious! For the record, I would love if one of my girls laid green eggs.

This just gets better and better - I found a gorgeous brown egg from our Flo this morning.
